  • In Englewood, patrolling officers heard gunfire near 66th and Halsted just before 1 a.m., then found a 19-year-old on the street with an abdominal wound.
  • The Englewood victim was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition as Area One detectives took over the case.
