Two Motorcyclists Critically Injured in Highland Township Crash

Sheriff’s deputies say a BMW turning into a private driveway struck two northbound motorcycles, prompting an active probe focused on how the collision occurred rather than on impairment.

Oakland County deputies say a southbound 2019 BMW M550Xi attempting a left turn into a private driveway hit a 2006 Suzuki GSX1300 and a 2010 Kawasaki ZT1000 on North Milford Road near Wind Valley Lane.
Both motorcycle operators were ejected from their bikes, taken to local hospitals and remain in critical condition while the BMW driver was reported uninjured.
Police identified the riders as 26- and 21-year-old Grand Blanc residents and the BMW driver as a 28-year-old Fenton resident.
Authorities said the riders wore DOT-approved helmets and protective gear and the BMW driver was belted, and investigators reported no signs of alcohol or drug involvement.
The sheriff’s office described the findings as preliminary and said investigators are reviewing crash reconstruction and witness statements and will issue updates as the inquiry continues.
