Overview
- A 19-year-old U.S. national fell about 12 metres from a cliff at Santa Eulària and was taken to Policlínica Nuestra Señora del Rosario, where he remains in intensive care with cervical and dorsal fractures, a right pneumothorax and multiple injuries.
- Around 08:34 on Monday a 29–30-year-old Colombian man fell from a seventh-floor balcony in Sant Antoni and was taken straight to surgery at the same clinic with very severe head, chest, abdominal and pelvic trauma.
- Both patients were stabilized by 061 emergency teams and admitted to Policlínica del Rosario, with hospital statements describing the U.S. patient as stable within the gravity and the Sant Antoni patient as very grave.
- The Guardia Civil has opened investigations into both events, and officers are probing the Sant Antoni fall for possible alcohol or drug involvement after widely circulated video showed the man on the outside of a balcony appearing highly agitated.
