Overview
- The Detroit Fire Department received a neighbor’s call just after 5:30 a.m. Sunday about a burning home on the 4900 block of Ashley Street.
- Crews reached the scene about five minutes later and found flames on the side of the house and a vehicle in the driveway.
- Firefighters pulled a woman with severe burns from the home, and EMS attempted life-saving measures before she was pronounced dead.
- A man was found inside the residence and was already deceased when crews located him.
