Two Killed After Police Pursuit in Pomona

Police say the chase began when the suspect hit a parked patrol car at a domestic violence scene.

  • During the southbound pursuit on Garey Avenue, the fleeing truck collided with a silver Ford near County Road and both people in the Ford died at the scene.
  • Police identified the driver as Marshall Judson, 31, of Pomona, and took him into custody at the crash site.
  • Judson was booked on felony counts that include vehicular manslaughter, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, DUI, felony evasion, driving without a valid license, and firearm offenses.
  • Investigators say they found a firearm and other gun parts in his truck, the medical examiner has not released the victims’ names pending family notification, and Pomona police are asking witnesses to share tips.
