Two Injured in Western Sydney Shootings an Hour Apart After 46-Year-Old Arrest

Detectives are examining a burned Holden Commodore believed to be tied to the Bass Hill attack.

Overview

  • Police say a 29-year-old man was shot on Northcott Road in Lalor Park about 8:45pm and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
  • Specialist officers arrested a 46-year-old man on the same street about 3am and took him to Riverstone Police Station, with no charges laid.
  • About 9:55pm, shots were reported at a house on Arundle Road in Bass Hill, and separate crime scenes were established at both locations.
  • A 25-year-old later presented to Liverpool Hospital about 10:10pm with gunshot wounds to his leg, arm and chest and remains serious but stable.
  • A Holden Commodore found burning on Rex Road in Georges Hall was extinguished and seized for forensic examination, and police have appealed for dashcam and CCTV footage.
