Overview
- Police say a wrong-way vehicle traveling south in I-35’s northbound lanes near the 4400 block struck a car head-on around 4:15 a.m. Saturday.
- The wrong-way driver, described as a man in his 30s to 40s, died at the scene after his vehicle went airborne and hit an 18-wheeler.
- The other driver, a 62-year-old man, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and the 18-wheeler driver was unhurt.
- Around 2 p.m. Friday, a southbound motorcyclist in the 6300 block was speeding, weaving through traffic, hit impact attenuation devices, and was ejected.
- The motorcyclist was transported with life-threatening injuries, and police say no criminal charges are expected as both investigations continue.
