Overview
- Representatives of Knots Aerospace and GGF Astraa Analytica met Investments and Infrastructure Minister B. C. Janardhan Reddy on Thursday, July 23, 2026, to present formal proposals for new aviation and drone facilities.
- Knots Aerospace proposed a roughly ₹100 crore Flight Training Organisation to be sited at Nagarjuna Sagar or Kurnool airport, planning to start with six training aircraft and expand to 20 over five years while creating about 100 direct jobs.
- GGF Astraa Analytica pitched a roughly ₹400 crore drone cluster needing about 100 acres in Kurnool Drone City to house research, assembly, manufacturing, testing, training and incubation activities and cited collaborations in the U.K. and Singapore.
- GGF Astraa also offered drone services for the 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu for surveillance, crowd management and traffic control and proposed conducting trial runs in September to test operational feasibility.
- The minister welcomed both proposals but made clear no approvals or land allocations have been granted yet and that government support will depend on detailed project reports, site decisions and results from the planned trials.
