Two Early-Morning Montgomery Shootings Leave One Dead, One Injured
Police investigation is active with public tips requested via MPD or CrimeStoppers.
Overview
- The first call, which came just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday, brought officers to the 1300 block of Dalraida Road where they found a woman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
- About a minute later, officers responded to a reported physical altercation in the 3600 block of Debby Drive and found a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound who was pronounced dead at the scene.
- Montgomery Police Lt. J. Scott Dunn said investigators have released no suspect descriptions, motive or arrests and that both scenes remain under active investigation.
- Authorities have asked anyone with information to contact the Montgomery Police Department or submit anonymous tips to CrimeStoppers at (334) 215-STOP (7867).
- The shootings occurred in separate nearby locations between Beardsley Drive and the railroad tracks and just off McGehee Road, a pattern that officials say investigators are examining for any connection and that may increase local patrols and community concern.
