Overview

  • Police arrested two delivery workers on June 8 after an investigation into the killing of 38-year-old mason Jai Prakash Deshmukh in Secunderabad.
  • Officers say the accused lured Deshmukh from Monda Market on the night of June 2, took him to a deserted stretch near Tukaramgate, and attacked him with stones when he resisted.
  • First responders found Deshmukh in a pool of blood in the early hours of June 3 and recovered two blood-stained stones at the scene.
  • Investigators used CCTV footage, technical forensics and local intelligence to trace the stolen mobile phone and the electric bike and link them to the two delivery riders.
