Two Congress Leaders Join BJP in Tarn Taran Ahead of Nov. 11 Bypoll

  • On October 25, senior Congress figures Ranjit Singh Dhillon and Advocate Jagmeet Dhillon formally entered the BJP in the presence of national general secretary Tarun Chugh.
  • Ranjit Singh Dhillon was a Block Samiti chairman and PPCC coordinator, while Jagmeet Dhillon served as Punjab Congress spokesperson and president of the Block Congress Committee in Gandiwind.

  • The bypoll for the Tarn Taran assembly seat will be held on November 11 with counting on November 14, following the death of sitting AAP MLA Kashmir Singh Sohal.
  • AAP said Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) sarpanch Jashandeep Singh and supporters joined its ranks as Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar promoted government measures including zero power bills for most households and operational Mohalla Clinics.
