- On October 25, senior Congress figures Ranjit Singh Dhillon and Advocate Jagmeet Dhillon formally entered the BJP in the presence of national general secretary Tarun Chugh.
- Ranjit Singh Dhillon was a Block Samiti chairman and PPCC coordinator, while Jagmeet Dhillon served as Punjab Congress spokesperson and president of the Block Congress Committee in Gandiwind.
