Two Charged in Montgomery Homicide of Eldrick McNeal

Police say the arrests advance their probe with both men booked into the county detention facility and court processing expected next.

Officers found 40-year-old Eldrick McNeal with a fatal gunshot wound on the 3400 block of Texas Street and pronounced him dead after responding to the scene on Thursday, June 11.
Montgomery police charged 37-year-old Travis Delbridge with murder and booked him into the Montgomery County Detention Facility on June 14.
Authorities added a second murder charge on June 15 when they booked 39-year-old Curtis Julius into the same detention facility.
Police spokeswoman Lt. Ernestina McGriff identified both suspects and said Delbridge is accused of shooting McNeal; neither man has spoken publicly and court records show Julius currently lacks an attorney.
The arrests follow an MPD investigation that solicited public tips after a series of recent overnight shootings and will move next to arraignments and prosecutorial filings under the presumption of innocence.
