Overview
- Merseyside Police charged two men after linked burglaries reported in Crosby, Litherland and Liscard.
- Police said a Crosby home was broken into for car keys and the stolen car was later found in a Litherland car park, where 56-year-old Paul Brabin was arrested with suspected heroin and theft tools.
- Brabin was charged with burglary, attempted burglary, going equipped for theft and two counts of possessing a Class A controlled drug, and he was remanded after his court appearance.
- In a separate Liscard break-in, officers said a man entered with a sharp-edged broken can and spat blood at an occupant before being arrested.
- Elliott Sutherland, 23, was charged with burglary and attempted theft with violence, pleaded not guilty at Wirral Magistrates' Court, and is due at Liverpool Crown Court on May 29.
