Overview
- The red Ford Ka, reported stolen overnight, collided with a Mercedes Vito taxi just before 5:25am Sunday at the junction of Winterbottom Avenue and Warren Road in Hartlepool.
- The two boys in the Ka were injured, with the 16-year-old losing consciousness and several teeth and the 12-year-old suffering cuts and bruises, and both were taken to the University Hospital of North Tees.
- The taxi driver, a 49-year-old man, sustained a head injury and remains in the same hospital for treatment.
