Overview
- An STF team in Saharanpur fatally shot Siraj Ahmad, who carried a ₹1 lakh reward and was wanted in multiple cases including the 2023 murder of advocate Azad Ahmad, after he allegedly opened fire during an interception near Gangoh.
- Officers said they recovered two pistols, a motorcycle, cartridges, mobile phones, Wi‑Fi dongles, and identity documents from Siraj, who died during treatment at a hospital.
- In Bulandshahr, police said Zubair alias Peter, a ₹50,000 rewardee with around 47 cases, was killed after he allegedly fired at a joint Kotwali Dehat–Gulawathi team during a chase; a constable was injured and an accomplice escaped.
