Two Adults Charged After Coroner Rules 3-Year-Old’s Death a Homicide From Cocaine

Investigators say searches and device records show drug use and sales at the Greenville home where other children lived; authorities plan to extradite the injured suspects for arraignment.

State police charged Felicesha Hardman and Wade “Manny” Daniels with criminal homicide, involuntary manslaughter and other counts after a forensic autopsy found cocaine toxicity caused the boy’s death.
Police executed a search warrant at the Columbia Avenue home and seized scales with residue, pipes, pills and items with powdery residue while describing the residence as in deplorable condition.
Investigators say electronic device records and interviews showed frequent purchase, use and sale of controlled substances by the two adults who lived at the house.
Three other children and an infant were living in the residence at the time of the boy’s death, raising child-endangerment concerns for prosecutors and investigators.
Both suspects were seriously injured in a recent car crash and hospitalized, Daniels was arrested on a pre-existing warrant, and officials say the pair will be extradited to Mercer County as the probe continues.
