Overview
- Dshaun Omar Hatton-Street of Romulus and Stephan Larryl Shaw of Taylor were arrested on open murder and felony firearms charges in the death of Andre Sontay Avant Jr.
- The suspects were arraigned in Novi's 52-1 District Court and ordered held without bond in the Oakland County Jail.
- Deputies say Avant, 19, knew both men, and none of the three had a known connection to the Proud Lake area where a park visitor found the body on Feb. 16.
- An autopsy determined Avant died from a gunshot wound to the head and ruled the death a homicide.
