  • Buxton left Tuesday’s 3-2 win over the Kansas City Royals with right-hip discomfort and was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a right hip impingement.
  • The Twins recalled infielder Tristan Gray from Triple‑A St. Paul to fill Buxton’s spot on the 26-man roster.
  • Buxton first went on the IL with a right hip strain on July 7 and was reinstated on July 20 before a seven-game return in which he hit .160 with no extra-base hits.
  • Through 82 games this season Buxton has hit .263 with 25 home runs, 45 RBIs, 57 runs scored, and seven stolen bases, making his availability important to Minnesota’s lineup.
