Overview
- The two high-casualty collisions, reported Monday in Thane district and Gujarat’s Surendranagar, left at least 18 people dead and injured several others.
- In Thane, an overcrowded Eeco used as a shuttle taxi hit a cement mixer head-on on the Kalyan–Ahilyanagar route, where one bridge carriageway was shut for works, killing all 11 in the van.
