- Turnstile, which played Coachella on Friday, opened with a prerecorded message from Brendan Yates’s father, Bill, a week after he had surgery following the attack.
- Police and court records say former guitarist Brady Ebert was arrested on attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault charges for allegedly striking the 79-year-old with a car outside the Yates home in Silver Spring, Maryland.
- Ebert remains held without bond as he told a district court commissioner he acted in “pure self-defense” and claimed CCTV footage would contradict police accounts.
- Turnstile said they cut ties with Ebert in 2022 over a pattern of harmful behavior and escalating threats, and the band performed without directly addressing the case beyond the video.
