Tucker Zimmerman’s Final Album ‘Dream Me a Dream’ Set for June 19 Release as ‘Sun in Scorpio’ Arrives

The label is issuing the finished record in keeping with Zimmerman’s wish to release it following the January house fire that killed the couple.

Overview

  • Big Potato Records confirmed a posthumous June 19 release and issued the opening track, “Sun in Scorpio,” as the first preview.
  • Dream Me a Dream was completed before Zimmerman’s death in collaboration with producer and multi-instrumentalist Nick Holton.
  • Holton says basic tracking took place in 2024 and Zimmerman re-recorded vocals in 2025 when he was physically frail.
  • The 11-track album includes a cover of Adrianne Lenker’s “Stay (I Want You to Stay)” and features contributions from Jackie Oates and Marie-Claire.
  • The announcement was originally set for the week Zimmerman and Marie-Claire died in a Liège house fire, then postponed before today’s rollout.
