Overview
- TTD announced on Thursday that VIP Break Darshans will be cancelled on specific dates between July and September, including July 14, July 17, July 19, July 29, August 22, August 24, September 8, September 14 and September 15–23.
- The temple authority has suspended nearly all special darshan categories during the Srivari Brahmotsavams, with exceptions only for protocol dignitaries; this affects facilities for the elderly, persons with disabilities, parents with infants, NRIs and donors.
- TTD will not accept VIP recommendation letters on the day before any notified suspension date except for protocol dignitaries, as part of tighter access controls to limit privileged entries.
- A high-level review chaired by Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary directed departments to finalise crowd-control, security, traffic and parking plans, complete engineering works, ensure laddu stocks, and mobilise volunteers ahead of the festivals.
- Officials have ordered scaled-up operational measures such as strengthened queue management, uninterrupted annaprasadam distribution, extra sanitation staff, and a temporary ban on two-wheelers on Tirumala ghat roads during Garuda Seva to manage expected heavy pilgrim turnout.
