TSN Reports Celebrini, McKenna, Barzal and Rielly Set to Join Canada for 2026 Worlds

TSN insider Darren Dreger reported Monday that Macklin Celebrini, Gavin McKenna, Mathew Barzal and Morgan Rielly have committed to play for Canada, with Hockey Canada yet to publish an official roster.
The additions would join a veteran group that includes John Tavares, Ryan O’Reilly, Robert Thomas and Mark Scheifele, plus goaltender Jet Greaves.
Celebrini comes off a 115-point NHL season with San Jose that set a franchise record after Joe Thornton’s mark, and he posted 10 points at the Milano Cortina Olympics.
McKenna, a Penn State forward and projected No. 1 draft pick, tied for fifth in NCAA scoring with 51 points and was a top-10 Hobey Baker finalist.
The tournament runs May 15–31 in Zurich and Fribourg, and Canada opens against Sweden as it seeks its first World Championship medal since 2023.
