TSG Hoffenheim Members Elect André Kreuzwieser President in Landslide

The vote ends a months-long leadership vacuum at the member-run parent club.

Overview

  • In a high-turnout meeting at the Sinsheim Arena, members chose André Kreuzwieser with 759 votes over Florian Beil (126) and Uwe Heiss (122).
  • Beil was separately elected second chairman to replace the departed interim leader Christoph Henssler.
  • The vote capped months of infighting, including the November resignation of president Jörg Albrecht and Henssler’s February exit after an attempt to remove sporting chief Andreas Schicker.
  • Although the e.V. regained voting control in 2023, the club remains financially dependent on Dietmar Hopp, who holds 96% of the GmbH and is credited with about €500 million in funding.
  • Schicker announced the first summer signing, 21-year-old striker Alessandro Vogt from FC St. Gallen, reportedly on a five-year deal.
