- On Fox’s The Sunday Briefing Sunday, Rep. Ro Khanna said he was horrified to see Chinese steel at the Port of Cleveland and asked why the job was not going to U.S. producer Cleveland-Cliffs.
- Khanna also urged the president to press Beijing to stop subsidizing steel and to curb China-backed factories in the United States that he said hire undocumented workers and abuse hours.
- Hours after the interview, President Trump attacked Khanna on Truth Social, calling him a “sleazebag,” saying he “should not be allowed” on Fox without on-air rebuttal, and claiming his tariffs “saved” the U.S. steel industry.
