TRNSMT Will Turn Glasgow Green into Scotland’s Biggest World Cup Fan Zone

Organisers shifted set times to allow the 11pm Scotland v Morocco kick-off to be shown on three giant screens at the festival site.

Overview

  • TRNSMT confirmed on Thursday that after Richard Ashcroft’s headlining set the festival will screen Scotland v Morocco on three large screens at Glasgow Green on Friday, June 19.
  • Set times were moved so Ashcroft finishes before the 11pm kick-off and the usual 11pm curfew has been extended to 1am on Friday to cover the match and post‑game activity.
  • Late‑entry tickets priced at £56.06 are on sale to allow arrivals from 7:30pm for Ashcroft’s set and the pre‑match programme hosted by Sean McDonald with guest appearances including Rose Reilly.
  • ScotRail is running extra late trains and carriages for festival nights but will not operate services after the football finishes, so organisers advise fans to check last train times and plan alternative travel.
  • Organisers stressed safety rules and logistics: a Challenge 25 ID policy, strict prohibited‑items lists including a disposable vape ban, cashless payments, more than 40 food stalls remaining open to half‑time, and BBC Scotland and Radio 1 coverage/streaming in place.
