Tripura Targets Nearly Rs 1 Lakh Crore as Business Conclave Prepares to Open July 9–10

The state says converting investment proposals into implementable projects will raise jobs and boost Tripura’s gross state domestic product.

Overview

  • The two-day Destination Tripura Business Conclave is scheduled for July 9–10 and state officials say about 500 business leaders and foreign delegates are expected to attend.
  • Chief Minister Manik Saha led final readiness reviews on July 5 and confirmed Union DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will join the inaugural session.
  • Tripura has publicly set a target of nearly Rs 1 lakh crore in investment proposals and plans sector-focused sessions, roundtables, investor meetings and MoU signing ceremonies to convert offers into projects.
  • Organisers will stage more than 20 exhibition stalls from state departments and central public sector units to showcase opportunities in healthcare, education, IT, tourism, renewable energy, logistics and plantation-based industries.
  • Officials point to last year’s outcomes—MoUs worth about Rs 30,000 crore with roughly Rs 8,000 crore entered implementation—to argue the conclave can translate proposals into real projects that expand employment and per‑capita income.
