Trey Mancini to Sign One-Day Contract and Retire as an Oriole at Camden Yards

  • The Orioles announced Mancini will sign a one-day contract to officially retire as an Oriole on Sept. 19 at Camden Yards, and he will take part in a pregame ceremony and throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

  • Mancini spent his first six MLB seasons in Baltimore, hit 117 home runs for the Orioles and led the team with 35 homers in 2019, then overcame a 2020 colon cancer diagnosis to return in 2021 and later played briefly for the Angels in 2026 before retiring.
  • The event continues a club-led fundraising tradition that raised more than $80,000 for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance in 2020 and aims to use merchandise sales and donations to support cancer-related and community relief work through Mancini’s foundation.
