Overview
- The helicopter was on a training flight from Mumbai’s Juhu to Surat when a technical issue was reported over Safale on Tuesday.
- The pilot chose the Vidya Vaibhav High School ground in Palghar for a precautionary landing at around 12:30 pm.
- Four people were on board, including the main pilot, a trainee pilot and a technical engineer, according to officials.
- The crew consulted experts, fixed the problem during a halt of a little over half an hour, and then aborted the Surat leg.
- The chopper took off again and flew back to Juhu, with local police securing the area and officials briefing PTI.
