- A train derailed while passing a track switching zone at Chan Sow Lin on May 28, immobilising the unit and causing widespread delays on the Ampang and Sri Petaling lines.
- Rapid KL confirmed images of the incident, said technical teams are carrying out recovery and repair work at the site, and warned repairs are ongoing.
- All 25 passengers on board were evacuated safely and no injuries were reported, Rapid KL said.
- To maintain service, Rapid KL is running turnback operations, multiple shuttle‑train segments with published frequencies, and free shuttle buses on routes linking Hang Tuah, Chan Sow Lin, Cheras and Pandan Jaya.
