- The playable demo launched Thursday on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Steam and includes the game's opening movie plus new trailers.
- The demo covers the prologue and first chapter and lets players keep all progress so those saves transfer directly into the full release.

- Falcom released a version 1.07 legacy patch for the 1st Chapter on August 18 to standardize terminology and localization ahead of the sequel, and the demo will allow cosmetic bonuses such as Classic Style SC Costumes when a finished 1st Chapter save is loaded.
