Overview
- NIS America and Falcom announced Thursday that remastered editions of The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and Trails to Azure will release for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 on September 10, 2026.
- Both ports offer higher-resolution textures and performance targets up to 4K resolution and 120 frames per second, plus a High-Speed Mode and an option to switch between original and upscaled textures.
- Trails from Zero on Switch 2 adds mouse support to improve menu navigation, and Trails to Azure can import Trails from Zero save data to unlock extra conversations and alternate dialogue that reflect player progress.
- Standard digital copies are priced at $39.99, and NIS America is selling a $69.99 Deluxe Edition that bundles both games with a digital soundtrack and art cards; the Switch 2 Deluxe uses a game-key card rather than a dual-game cartridge.
- The Crossbell duology is a core narrative thread in the long-running Trails franchise and these ports update entries that previously appeared on the original Switch, PS4, PC, and earlier handhelds to reach returning fans and new players.
