Toyota Reveals Camry GT-S Concept Ahead of SEMA

Toyota positions the CALTY-built sedan as a chassis-focused study to gauge interest ahead of its SEMA showcase.

Overview

  • The concept is based on the US-market Camry XSE AWD hybrid and keeps the 2.5-litre hybrid powertrain at roughly 232 hp.
  • Adjustable coilovers lower the car by about 1.5 inches for a tighter stance and sharper handling on 20-inch wheels.
  • Braking hardware steps up to eight-piston front calipers with 365 mm rotors and six-piston rear calipers with 356 mm rotors.
  • A distinctive Inferno Flare orange-and-black finish pairs with a front splitter, side skirts, boot-lid spoiler, and rear diffuser.
  • The interior remains largely production-spec with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and the car is slated for a Nov. 4–7 SEMA display as Toyota evaluates potential factory-backed packages; no India plans are indicated.
