Toyota Launches Rumion E Base Variant at Rs 9.56 Lakh, Cutting Entry Price by Rs 95,000

Toyota is using a de‑contented grade to reach budget buyers without compromising on core safety.

Overview

  • The new E trim becomes the entry point to the Rumion range at Rs 9.56 lakh ex‑showroom, with prices of all other variants unchanged.
  • It is offered solely with a 1.5‑litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (about 103 hp) paired to a 5‑speed manual gearbox.
  • There is no automatic transmission or factory CNG option on the E variant, both of which remain available higher up the lineup.
  • To achieve the lower price, the E grade drops amenities such as the infotainment/audio system, powered ORVMs and second‑row AC vents.
  • Safety equipment remains extensive for the class, including six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, hill‑hold assist and rear parking sensors, as Toyota targets rivals like the Maruti Ertiga/XL6 and Kia Carens.
