Overview
- The Gardiner Expressway, which closes Friday at 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, will shut from the Humber River to Spadina Avenue.
- The Don Valley Parkway is slated to close from Highway 401 to the Jarvis Street ramp from Friday, May 8 at 11 p.m. to Monday, May 11 at 5 a.m.
- Crews will work around the clock on repairs such as fixing potholes, repainting lane lines, maintaining guardrails, and clearing drains to prevent flooding.
- The city says each closure replaces more than 30 overnight shutdowns and could save drivers up to 150 hours of disruption.
- Traffic agents, real-time monitoring, adjusted signal timings, and roadside message boards will manage detours, and the dates remain weather dependent.
