TOPS Core Revamp Adds Rana, Gulveer, Bhagat as Prannoy, Panwar, Punia Exit

The 169th Mission Olympic Cell review redirects funding toward recent top medalists to sharpen Olympic focus.

  • Shooters Samrat Rana and Suruchi Inder Singh, distance runner Gulveer Singh, para-shuttler Pramod Bhagat, boxer Jaismine Lamboria, and the badminton duo Tanisha Crasto–Dhruv Kapila are promoted to the Core list.
  • Rifle 3-position shooter Niraj Kumar re-enters the Core after an Asian Championships silver and consistent performances.
  • HS Prannoy, Divyansh Singh Panwar, and Deepak Punia are removed for not meeting performance parameters, with the Core remaining 56-strong.
  • The Developmental group grows with 22 boxers, including 14 women, and 13 shooters added to build bench depth for future Games.
  • Core athletes receive Rs 50,000 per month plus $25 per day overseas, while Developmental athletes get Rs 25,000 monthly with the same overseas daily allowance.
