TOPCHI 2026 Showcases Integrated Firepower as BSF and Navy Join Indian Army Drill

Organisers cast the live-firing display as evidence of growing self-reliance and readiness, with commentary linking showcased systems to recent operations.

Overview

  • At the Devlali Field Firing Ranges in Nashik, the Regiment of Artillery demonstrated coordinated use of guns, mortars, rockets, drones and aviation assets in its annual exercise.
  • For the first time, Border Security Force gun detachments and Indian Navy personnel operating drones took part, underscoring expanding cross-service integration.
  • Weapons on display included the K-9 Vajra, M777 ultra-light howitzer, 155 mm FH77B02 Bofors, Dhanush, Soltam, 105 mm Indian Field Gun, Light Field Gun, 120 mm mortars, GRAD BM-21 and the Pinaka rocket system.
  • The exercise was led by Lieutenant General Navneet Singh Sarna, with Lieutenant General Manish Erry as chief guest, and featured statements highlighting professionalism, preparedness and indigenous defence manufacturing.
  • Paratroopers conducted parachute, paramotor and hang-glider demonstrations, and event commentary noted that several systems showcased have been used in operations including Operation Sindoor.
