Overview
- A short overhead-style video posted to TikTok by a user identified as Klementina shows Tom Cruise pause, tap a seated woman on the shoulder, exchange a fist bump, and walk on.
- The clip went viral after outlets began reporting it on September 28, drawing praise for Cruise’s attentiveness and wide sharing across platforms including X and entertainment sites.
- Klementina later clarified in her own posts that she was doomscrolling on her phone and not in distress, and she returned to pose for a photo with Cruise after composing herself.
- The encounter occurred during Cruise’s promotion for Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s Digger, which begins its international run on September 30 and opens in North America and IMAX on October 2.
- Coverage framed the moment as a feel-good human-interest item that reinforces positive publicity for the film while some commentators noted routine skepticism about PR timing.
