Overview
- Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office filed an in-home indictment on two assault charges against the 86-year-old television personality known as Dewi Sukarno.
- Prosecutors say that in October 2025 at a Shibuya animal hospital she hit her then-manager, a woman in her 30s, in the abdomen and arm and kicked her shins.
- They also allege that in February 2025 she threw a champagne glass at a female employee of her talent agency at a restaurant in Shibuya.
- The office did not disclose her plea, and she has previously said she pushed the manager away rather than hit her.
- A court date will be set next, and in-home indictment in Japan means the accused is prosecuted without being detained and is summoned to appear for hearings.
