  • The Northerns Titans chased 249 at the Wanderers to beat the Central Gauteng Lions by three wickets with one ball remaining.
  • After slipping to 0 for 2 and then 77 for 4, a 78-run sixth-wicket stand from Keegan Petersen (90) and Duan Jansen (61 not out) steadied the chase.
  • Tight spells from Lizaad Williams (3 for 49), Dayyaan Galiem (2 for 33) and Roelof van der Merwe (2 for 32) had earlier kept the Lions to 248 for 9.
  • Rassie van der Dussen top-scored for the Lions with 57, Temba Bavuma added 43, and seamers Codi Yusuf and Beyers Swanepoel took three wickets each in a losing cause.
  • The result completes a playoff run that began with a qualifier win over the EP Warriors in Gqeberha and closes the domestic season with the one-day trophy in Titans hands.
