Titanium and Gold Design Chosen for Otto the Great’s New Coffin

A jury picked artist Silke Trekel’s proposal after the decayed wooden inner coffin was deemed unusable.

Im Wettbewerb um die Gestaltung eines neuen Sargs für Otto den Großen im Magdeburger Dom ist eine Entscheidung gefallen. Eine Jury der Kunststiftung Sachsen-Anhalt wählte den Entwurf der Künstlerin Silke Trekel aus, wie die Stiftung mitteilte.
