Three Toronto Officers Suspended With Pay After Spain Arrests

Spanish criminal proceedings will determine what evidence Toronto police can use to pursue suspension without pay under Ontario law.

The three Canadian officers were charged with the alleged sexual and physical assault of a sex worker in Barcelona, Mossos d’Esquadra, the Catalonian police force, said.
Last week, two off-duty Toronto police officers were accused of sexual assault and assault causing injuries in Spain, and a third officer was charged with attacking an agent of authority, according to Spanish police.
