Three Seriously Injured in Hooksett Head-On Crash on I-293

State police say speed may have played a role in the Tuesday morning collision as investigators seek witnesses to an ongoing probe.

Overview

  • Troopers say the crash happened around 5:40 a.m. Tuesday when a southbound Subaru crossed the center median on I-293 and struck a northbound Ford F-150 head-on.
  • New Hampshire State Police identified the Subaru driver as 43-year-old Timothy Hubbard of Rome, Maine, and said the vehicle lost control before crossing into oncoming traffic.
  • Hubbard, a passenger in the Subaru, and the Ford driver were taken to area hospitals with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
  • Emergency crews closed the northbound lanes and the left southbound lane for about an hour while troopers and first responders investigated the scene.
  • The investigation remains active, police say speed may have been a factor, and anyone with information is asked to email Trooper Isaiah Acquaye at Isaiah.J.Acquaye@dos.nh.gov.
