Overview
- The collision at Martin Hill Road and Lucky Hit Road near Birdwood on Tuesday killed three passengers in a Toyota sedan.
- The driver suffered life-threatening injuries and a fourth passenger was seriously hurt, and both were cut from the car and flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
- The truck driver was not injured and is assisting police as the SA Police Major Crash Unit investigates.
- Police shut nearby roads for several hours during the investigation, those routes have reopened, and witnesses are being urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
- Separately, a two-car crash at Hindmarsh Valley about 2:15pm left a 65-year-old man with serious injuries that required an airlift to hospital.
