Overview
- The three were last seen Saturday night leaving a family event in Jonesboro and failing to arrive in Machias, which prompted a search by local police.
- Bar Harbor police obtained location information from Sharon Bukulmez’s cellphone that placed the device in the water near the boat ramp at the end of Schoppee Point Road in Roque Bluffs.
- Around 7 a.m. Sunday, the Maine State Police Dive Team and Maine Marine Patrol located a submerged vehicle in Pond Cove and recovered the bodies with assistance from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Coast Guard.
