Three Children Rescued After Lift Malfunctions in Thane TMC Building

A separate pre-dawn ceiling collapse in a Mumbra chawl left two residents injured.

  • Mid-day identified the rescued children as Sanskrit Shingade, 9, Karan Kagda, 15, and Rohit Kagda, 16.
  • Earlier at about 3:30 am, plaster and a ceiling fan fell in Tambewadi Chawl in Mumbra, injuring two residents who were taken to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital as the civic cell examined the building.
