Three Charged in Detroit Killing of Trial Witness

Prosecutors call the case a direct attack on the justice system.

Overview

  • Wayne County prosecutors charged Bekelba Migel Holland, Tycie Denise Parham, and Gerald Keith Towns with first-degree murder, conspiracy, and witness intimidation in the slaying of witness Robert Harbin.
  • Prosecutors say Holland followed Harbin to the 18700 block of Kelly Road on Oct. 14, 2025 and fired into his car, killing him at the scene.
  • Prosecutors allege Parham and Towns aided Holland in the shooting, and note that Parham and Harbin have a child in common.
  • Holland also faces weapons charges that include being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and ammunition, carrying a concealed weapon, and four counts of felony firearm.
  • Parham was arraigned on April 2 and was remanded to jail, with a probable cause conference set for April 10 and a preliminary exam on April 17, while Towns is expected to be arraigned on April 3 and already faces a separate trial on June 29, 2026.
