Thief: The Dark Project Remastered Arrives This Winter From Nightdive

Overview

  • Nightdive Studios, working with Atari and Eidos Montreal, announced the remaster during the PC Gaming Show at Summer Game Fest on Sunday with a reveal trailer and a winter 2026 release window.
  • The remaster will ship on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic), PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and Nightdive confirmed a free Switch→Switch 2 upgrade for buyers.
  • The package includes the original 1998 game plus the extra missions and content from 1999’s Thief Gold so players receive the complete base experience.
  • Technical and quality‑of‑life upgrades listed by the studio include enhanced textures, models and animations, mission select, a weapon/item wheel, controller support, achievements, behind‑the‑scenes extras and targets of up to 4K/120fps.
