Overview
- Akupara Games and developer Joe Richardson announced on Tuesday, July 28 that The Immortal John Triptych will launch on August 27, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch, Switch 2 and PC via Steam.
- The Triptych collects Four Last Things, The Procession to Calvary and Death of the Reprobate into one remastered release with never-before-seen bonus and deleted scenes, a unified user interface, full controller support and multiple quality-of-life improvements.
- On PC the anthology will offer an optional paid Steam add-on called “The Immortal John Triptych: Weird Extra Content Art Gallery DLC Thing-y,” while owners of the original PC releases will receive a free parity update that adds the Triptych’s QoL changes.
- Joe Richardson’s games assemble hundreds of historical paintings into puzzle-driven, verb-menu adventures set to classical and new music by Eduardo Antonello, and the originals earned strong reception with Metacritic scores around 78–83 and Overwhelmingly Positive Steam ratings.
- The collection brings two titles to PlayStation and broader consoles in a single, polished package and could widen the trilogy’s audience by making all three games easier to find and play across current and last-generation hardware.
