Overview
- The Game released The Documentary III to streaming platforms late Friday as a 24‑track project he called a career “reset.”
- The record assembles a starry guest list that includes Drake, Kanye West (Ye), Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, YG and a mix of longtime and newer West Coast voices.
- Game credited co-producers Tommy Brown, Mike & Keys and Travis Wilson, said the project was mixed and mastered by Treyvonce Moore, and used Jonathan Mannion for the cover art.
- Hours before the drop, Akademiks premiered “No Brakes” featuring Drake, a pre-release track whose lyrics explicitly align Game with Drake in the ongoing Drake–Kendrick dispute and that could further entangle Game in that rivalry.
- The release closes a long delay on the Documentary series that began in 2005 and follows Game’s recent public collaborations such as the VERZUZ with YG, with Game thanking contributors and fans in his announcement.
